Whether you have a full-time job, you go to school or university, or if you're just a kid who sees the opportunity early on, starting a side hustle can be the right decision at this moment.

In fact, there have been a ton of normal, everyday people who started side hustles and managed to turn them into full-blown businesses not long after.

The problem, however, is that there are a ton of different side hustles to choose from.

While some work really well, especially copywriting, there are some side hustles that can be an outright waste of time.

I might be a little biased here, but starting a blog is one of the best side hustles you can have.

Starting my blog, I didn't intend to make a lot of money from it - it was just a way for me to share my knowledge and my voice with the world.

For a long time, I had tried many different businesses, failed a lot but also tasted success.

I knew that by then, I had a lot of knowledge to share and so I decided to start a blog where I talk all about my entrepreneurial experiences, discuss the lessons I learned while also talking about the failures.

After a slow start, results started compounding and last month, I had an article published about me on StarterStories.com, which boosted my SEO and traffic.

Although you might not start off by making millions with a blog, starting a blog gives you the opportunity to make money on day 1.

On top of that, you can start for absolutely free.

My blog is still free - the only thing I really pay for is the domain that my blog sits on, Mohamadalasadi.com.

Other than this, I use a software called Blogger.com to write my articles, which is a simple-to-use, free software.

Once you have your account, you're going to want to think of what you want to talk about.

Some of the most popular blogging niches are:

• Food
• Fashion
• Personal Finance
• Lifestyle
• Gaming
• Blogging

Of course, you can talk about anything else you'd like - but this is a great list to get you inspired.

From here, you can either niche down into a specific section of that industry, or you can talk about it as a whole.

For example, there are many different topics that go into personal finance, however, I mainly focus on business building.

Although this is still technically broad, I don't think I have enough creative juices to write an article a day on a super-niched topic.

When I started I gave myself a goal to write an article a day.

It's safe to say I failed, however, I'm really proud of how far I've come with it, managing to write 100 articles in 100 days.

Other than that, I told myself that no matter the quality of the article that day, I'll publish it regardless.

I've been in many communities and forums where I've seen things like "I've spent 8 months writing an article, I can't publish it."

Telling yourself that no matter how good or bad the article is, you'll publish it regardless lifts a lot of weight off your shoulders.

That's the beauty of the internet.

You don't need to be Michael Morpurgo, or Roald Dahl to become writers or bloggers.

Everyone has an opinion they're entitled to share, and the internet has made it easier than ever for everyone.

To monetize your blog, you can run AdSense ads, upsell your audience on a course or product you create, or even sell things via affiliate marketing.

On my blog, I usually link to entrepreneurial books I've read and recommend.

You can quickly go from 0 to $1000+ in extra monthly income, however, there is almost no limit to where blogging can take you.

On the topic of blogging, I thought it's only right to share a great alternative for those of us who are a bit more brimming with energy.

A lot of you might know who Joe Rogan is - arguably the biggest podcast host of all time with over 190 million podcast downloads per month.

Over a decade ago, Joe decided to start his podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience, in order to share his voice with the world and meet people he admired.

Today, he's done interviews with some of the world's biggest celebrities and icons - even Elon Musk.

How do you get Elon Musk on your podcast? Now that's another level of success!

Starting the podcast, Joe Rogan didn't expect this to reach the heights it has today.

With almost 200 million monthly podcast downloads, many businesses and brands underneath him, and a ton of sponsors, Joe Rogan comfortably makes over $100 million per year.

Although this number might be frightening to some, it's definitely not something everyone has to aim for.

It's normal to aim for a small podcast with a few thousand monthly listeners, that makes no more than a few thousand dollars per month.

You might be thinking, however, where do you even start with a podcast?

It's very simple, you can start by recording your voice on your mobile phone, or if you wanted to step it up a notch, you can record yourself speaking, and post it on things like Youtube and Spotify.

Better yet, with a podcast, you can cut the video up into small chunks that are then littered across social media for free content and marketing.

A while back, I came across a website called 'Matchmaker' which sounds like an e-dating site, however, it's a great tool for podcasters to find guests or vice versa.

Although I haven't yet used this tool religiously, I do get the occasional message here and there asking me if I'd want to be on a podcast.

Given everything we have at our fingertips, it's almost as easy as blogging if not easier.

You record yourself or your voice, you post it online.

You can have a raw, uncut version, or if you wanted to be all extra, then you can edit it up.

However, podcasts are known for being long, uncut talks that go in various directions and so you shouldn't worry too much about editing.

Not only can you make thousands from hosting a podcast, you can even go into other avenues such as building businesses, investing in other businesses like Joe did with Onnit, and so much more.

Creating a website or a funnel today is so much easier than it was 10 years ago.

While you needed to know how to code, or worse, spend 10s of thousands on someone who did, all it takes today is to create an account on a site like Wix or WordPress.

You might be thinking, with this simplicity, everyone should know how to make a website, right?

Although you should be right, there are still a ton of people out there with almost no knowledge or experience with creating sites.

In fact, it's not so much about the site, but the way it converts - this is what people find important, especially businesses.

The reason I believe this is such a good side hustle to start is that it's simple to learn, yet you can create real value by creating a digital piece of real estate for businesses that makes them extra money.

How much would a business pay you to make them a website or funnel?

Let's think about it like this:

A client's site currently converts at 0.5% where they're selling a SaaS product with a monthly price of $50.

That means, for every 1000 visitors to the site, they're adding 5 new users or $250 in monthly recurring revenue (MRR).

Now, let's say that you create a site or funnel that converts at 3% - this is still below average for SaaS businesses.

That means, out of the same 1000 visitors, they're now adding 30 new users instead of only 5.

30 users at $50 per month is now $1500 in monthly recurring revenue.

Most SaaS companies get a lot more than 1000 visitors per month.

Imagine a business with 50,000 monthly visitors.

With the same percentages, you're adding an extra 1500 users or $75,000 in monthly revenue.
